La Casa Toscana Wedding

This Olive & European inspired wedding at La Casa Toscana in Ft. Meyers, FL is best described from Bianca & Franco’s perspective.

A trip to Spain early in their relationship brought the pair to tour an olive grove , where they learned not only about olives and the olive oil process, but of life, patience, care, and nurturing. They opted for a symbolic olive oil ceremony during their nuptials, which consisted of pouring two cruets of oil into one with the very olive oil from their trip, Basilippo. 

Having Hungarian, Spanish, and Italian roots, their wedding aimed to answer the question “how can we bring Europe to Florida?” . They discovered La Casa Toscana with its European flair that fit the bill. 

With Bianca’s parents having passed earlier and just months apart, it was also important to honor their memory. Her mother Rose passed the day the couple became engaged, so roses were an important element included. Their “Follow the bells” seating chart consisted of bells each guest received with their name on it, which were adorned with a rose pattern. 

The detail to symbolism continued to the white dinner jacket that Franco wore and the gloves that Bianca wore, as tributes to weddings of the past, meant to convey an old-world feel of sophistication that looked elevated yet not overworked. Even more meaningful, Bianca & Franco chose to hold an intimate ceremony in a church in lieu of a rehearsal.
