Chicago Art Institute Anniversary Photos
Kristine & Matt are a couple who have been destined to sit in front of my camera! I became unavailable for their wedding date when we were already in the process of working together, and after shooting a private session with Kristine, we finally made it happen in the form of their anniversary photoshoot! Covid was NOT going to rain on our parade. We were determined to make this happen, and after some unfortunate postponements, the stars finally aligned for us to create magic. And just as our luck would have it, we were surprised with a sudden closing of the Art Institute garden while we were just halfway through our session, THEN in the last minutes we got completely DOUSED in an unpredicted downpour! Sometimes you can’t help but laugh, and I did just that as my running mascara blinded me and my camera’s shutter slowly crawled into a nap, finalizing our photoshoot. Now, I wouldn’t need to speak a word of this story because you would NEVER know the craziness behind these photos when you see how glorious they are! But alas, things are not always how they seem, and funny stories make them look that much better right?
