Poppy & Ballet Inspired Wedding Shoot
When Kristen from Kio Kreations and I got together last year to dream up something marvelous, we organically came up with this amazing shoot inspired by Poppies and Ballerinas. A curious combination, but one that works nonetheless. We imagined bright colored poppies juxtaposed with art from the Impressionist era, which includes dancing ballerinas (as seen in the custom canvas and easel favors) around the table. Guests would dine at this lavish table, and view their dinner course on custom mirrored menus (which I for one would LOVE, because there’s nothing worse than lettuce in your teeth and not knowing it!). Mignonette Bridal was able to turn this concept into perfect ballerina inspired wedding gowns with detachable tulle skirts (which is perfect for the bride who wants to have a little fun at the reception!). Our Bride & Maid of Honor received beauty treatment from Sheri Cox MUA and Danielle at Dual Attraction, who just killed their beauty looks. Greg & Brian looked dapper in their suits, which were chosen based on their own comforts (who needs matchy-matchy Groom and Best Man wardrobes anymore?). The Sugar Path created the most lovely hand painted watercolor cake with delicious mini cakes- an absolute must have for your cake-loving guests! Ola la Ijorere was the perfect loft venue for the shoot, and Ijorere created the unique custom invitation suite. How darling!
