Liana & Leo's Destination Wedding aboard the Oasis of the Seas

L

Liana has become a friend of mine over the years and when she first spoke about Leo, the way her eyes lit up when talking about him was the only sign I needed to know he was going to be the one. I first met Leo at my studio open house and I got to see the way they both looked at each other. There was an invisible electrical charge between them that was just so adorable. Soon after, I received news they would tie the knot and Liana had all sorts of amazing ideas for the nuptials. They decided on an amazing destination wedding aboard the largest cruise ship in the world, Oasis of the Seas. I have never been on a cruise, and quite honestly, never wanted to be on one! The hubs and I were semi-fearful for our lives frankly. The moment we saw the ship, our mouths dropped to the floor. This was a BEAST. Everything was unbelievably organized and so simple from the moment we stepped on the ship to the moment we arrived back home. We sat on our small balcony overseeing the Bahamian waters the next day looking at each other and realizing, yes, we could become cruise people. After our tour of Nassau, we boarded the ship again in time for bingo. What the heck we thought, why not. I love bingo and I feel like an old lady most of the time anyway. To our surprise, I ended up winning the grand prize, an upgrade to their most amazing Sky loft suite! This room was the most incredible room we have been in, and boy have we seen some luxury before. INCREDIBLE is an understatement. Two expansive floors of beauty with a royal king size bed, a 2 story full window wall to the full deck balcony, 2 full baths, a dining room and living room; cruise ship?! What cruise ship?! This was a concierge palace! You could say I felt rested for the following day, Leo & Liana’s wedding day! The captain married the two inside the “Jazz on four” lounge. Liana’s hair was exquisite with braids, her dress stunning in all lace and open back. I especially adored Leo’s face when he smiled ear to ear when he saw Liana in her gown. The two are so smitten with each other, I partially felt as though they didn’t even see the others in the room. They had their eyes on each other all day long. After the intimate reception, the boys wanted to have some adventurous rock climbing photos before our super adorable couple photos on the Boardwalk by the carousel. SO CUTE! I am dying to share the following day’s session at Magen’s Bay (one of the top 10 beaches in the world) in St. Thomas!
