Liana & Leo's Day After Session at Magen's Bay

“Magen’s Bay – Hailed as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches”. And now I know why. HOLY GORGEOUS! What’s so amazing is not just the beautiful, calm, turquoise waters, the sparkling white sand, or the incredible views, but how serene it is! This place was so breathtaking. When Liana & Leo proposed for our New Mr & Mrs session to take place the day after their wedding aboard the Oasis of the Seas at St Thomas, I was totally game. Charlotte Amalie was the coolest little place with tons of adventure and entertainment awaiting. The open air taxi ride to the beach was certainly adventurous; it was like a roller coaster ride as we flew up and down those super steep hills on incredibly tiny roads. Our driver took a pit stop at the overlook point where we got the most spectacular views of the port and bay. Needless to say, I couldn’t load the film fast enough. 

Besides the wonderful traveling that comes with shooting destination weddings, my favorite part is the day after session. I always make sure to include one of these sessions because not only is it super fun and allows for the couple to enjoy each other with one-on-one time, but we are able to go to other locations and take amazing photos you normally either wouldn’t have time for on the wedding day or wouldn’t want to take (for fear of dirtying that dress!). Luckily Liana was totally game to walk along the water and it definitely paid off!
